The vineyard was planted in Shropshire in 1991 and this family business now firmly established, offers tours to wine aficianados. The experience starts with tea or coffee on arrival, followed by an explanation of the area’s rich Roman history and some background as to how the vineyard site has been developed over twenty years. One of the vineyard’s inhouse experts will then lead a conducted tour of vineyard and winery before initiating a tasting of five wines made from the surrounding vines. The group sit down for lunch together with more wine! There’s even a bottle of wine given at the end, to take home and enjoy in the other takeaway gift of two engraved glasses in a presentation box.
