For those who want to know about piloting a chopper, this tactical helicopter flying lesson has it all. A solid introduction to helicopter controls, as well as navigation and observation, this tactical trial lesson teaches the essential skills needed to get a Private Pilot’s Licence – and from high up in a chopper, the views are amazing! Start with a briefing which includes a talk on all aspects of a safe and successful helicopter flight. Next, it’s time to board four-seater R44 chopper and take to the skies with an exciting vertical lift-off. Take turns at being a passenger and a pilot – the best way to learn how guide a helicopter through the skies. Sit back too and soak in the views of the ground below. Will you catch the flying bug?
Availability: At least two weekend dates per month throughout the year, excluding the Christmas and New Year period. Weather: Duration: Lasts up to one hour including a briefing, tuition and three six – seven minute flights (one as a pilot and two as a passenger). Numbers On Day: With this voucher for one, share the flight with up to two other passengers and a seasoned pilot. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch the take-off and landing. A pair of binoculars or a camera comes in handy. Dress Code: Please bear in mind that inside the helicopter can get quite warm. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Restrictions: Min age is 12. Max weight is 14 stone, max height is 6’5”. For security reasons, photographic ID (ideally a passport) MUST be produced on the day to be permitted to fly.
