Formula Silverstone single-seaters sit just inches from the ground, are incredibly responsive and have been expertly engineered to provide a genuine racing thrill. Going flat out around this purpose-built motor racing training facility, experience what it’s like to be a Formula 1 champion. Start with a briefing from a fully qualified instructor to help demonstrate racing lines and track driving techniques in preparation for the drive ahead. Then take the wheel of the sensational single-seater, which can go from 0 – 60 mph in under five seconds, for a 15 minute session. Begin with three laps driving behind a pace car, before being let loose for the remainder of the session to push those driving skills to the absolute limit!
Availability: Runs on weekends, at least one date every month throughout the year. The circuit closes between mid-December and mid-January for the winter shut-down. Weather: Track driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice or severe rain) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Expect to be at the venue for around an hour in total, including briefing and 15 minutes driving. Please arrive 30-40 minutes prior to the start time to attend the essential safety briefing. Numbers On Day: You will share your briefing with up to 12 other participants. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and can bring a camera to record your experience. Please note that pets are not permitted at any circuits. Dress Code: Dress warmly and comfortably in trousers and a long-sleeved top. Wear flat-soled shoes and bring driving gloves if you wish. A helmet will be provided. Guidelines: Silverstone lies on the A43 between Brackley and Towcester and is accessible from junction 15a of the M1, junction 10 (South) or 11 (North) of the M40. Follow the signs for Silverstone Circuit and drive through the main entrance at West 5 to the security gates. Security will then direct you to Drive Silverstone. Restrictions: Max weight 18 stone. Min height is 5’2”; max 6’4”. Max age is 70. Participants need to have held a full manual driving licence for at least a year, which must be presented on the day. Other Info: At this world-class venue on the day, drive the Stowe Circuit which is 1.08 miles long. When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
