Head to Sibson Airfield in Peterborough for the unrivalled thrill of freefall, jumping out of a plane from 7,000 feet on an introductory tandem skydiving experience. Following a pre-jump safety briefing from an expert, get kitted out in a skydiver’s jumpsuit before heading up in the plane. After some final instructions and words of encouragement, eject from the plane attached to the professional for the thrill of a lifetime, freefalling for up to 15 seconds at breathtaking speeds of up to 120 mph. Then, the parachute is opened and the instructor steers both safely down, and it’s time to relax and catch breath, taking in the stunning views of Cambridgeshire laid out below.

Availability: This experience runs every Thursday between March and December. Please give several weeks advance booking notice. Weather: Jumping is always subject to weather conditions and cancellations for this reason are made with safety in mind. It is crucial to call the venue the morning of the jump to check on weather conditions. Duration: Duration is dependent on factors like the weather and the number of participants on the day. As a guide, training and jump take around an hour, but expect to be at the venue for much of the day. Numbers On Day: Training might be shared, the jump is one-to-one with a fully qualified skydiver. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. A camera and binoculars come in handy. Dress Code: Dress warmly and comfortably, wear trainers and bring a sweater as it can get cold on the airfield. Guidelines: Restrictions: Maximum weight is 16 stone. Minimum age is 16. Under 18’s need prior written parental consent. All jumpers are required to complete a health and safety form to confirm they are fit and able to jump.
