Description
Head to Beccles Airfield in Suffolk for the exhilarating thrill of freefalling from 7,000 feet in the air, with this introductory tandem skydiving experience. Begin with a pre-jump safety briefing from an expert, before kitting up and boarding the plane. Once at altitude, brace yourself for one of the greatest adrenaline thrills imaginable as you exit the plane attached to the expert, for around 40 seconds of freefall, plummeting to 5,000 foot at speeds of up to 120 mph. Once the instructor opens the parachute simply catch your breath, relax and enjoy the unique, breathtaking views of Suffolk below.
Availability: Jumps take place on Wednesdays all year round. Please give several weeks advance booking notice. Weather: Jumping is always subject to weather conditions and cancellations for this reason are made with safety in mind. It is crucial to call the venue the morning of the jump to check on weather conditions. Duration: Duration is dependent on factors like the weather and the number of participants on the day. As a guide, training and jump take around an hour, but expect to be at the venue for much of the day. Numbers On Day: Training might be shared, the jump is one-to-one with a fully qualified skydiver. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. A camera and binoculars come in handy. Dress Code: Dress warmly and comfortably, wear trainers and bring a sweater as it can get cold on the airfield. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 16. Maximum weight limits are 16 and a half stone for men and 15 and a half stone stone for women. All jumpers are required to complete a health and safety form to confirm they are fit and able to jump. Other Info: Most venues operate jumps on a first-come, first-served basis on the day. £25 to cover BPA membership/insurance must be paid pay on the day.
