Get behind the wheel of an Audi R8 supercar for a unique driving experience in Derbyshire. Push the boundaries of speed and sit back in an R8 with its 4.2 litre V8 engine, capable of reaching ear-splitting speeds of 187 mph! Donington Park is one of the best loved race tracks in British motorsport and driving such a powerful supercar around the circuit leaves drivers speechless. The Audi R8 driving experience includes two miles of familiarisation laps of Donington before taking to the driver’s seat for six miles driving the German motoring masterpiece.

Availability: Available in 2017 on the 25 August and 27 October only. Dates fill very quickly, so we recommend booking 12 weeks in advance. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for up to two hours, including briefing and up to six miles driving the Audi R8. Please arrive 30 minutes in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Briefings are held in groups of up to 30 people. There might be other vehicles on the track at the same time. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and there are cafe/clubhouse facilities on-site. Please note that animals are not allowed at the circuit, with the exception of guide dogs. Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and flat-soled shoes. A helmet will be provided. Guidelines: Exit the M1 at junction 23a or junction 24 and follow the signs for East Midlands Airport (A453). Drive past the traffic lights at the main airport entrance and follow the brown tourist signs for Donington Park. On entering Donington Park follow the brown tourist signs for ‘pits and paddocks’ and make your way to the Paddock Suite in the main paddock area through the security gate. Restrictions: Minimum age is 18. Maximum weight is 20 stone. Minimum height is 4’10”, maximum 6’5”. A full British or international manual driving licence held for at least 12 months must be brought on the day in order to participate. Other Info: The organiser was established in 1978 and is a founder member of The Association of Racing Drivers’ Schools. All instructors are ARDS qualified. When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
