Description
Head to Cumbria for an exhilarating 60 minute light aircraft flight under the expert supervision fully qualified instructor. Following a detailed flight safety briefing, climb into the cockpit of a Cessna 152 training plane in preparation for the ride. Once in the air, enjoy incredible aerial views of the countryside whilst the pilot demonstrates the full capabilities of this nimble little aircraft. During the flight (at the discretion of the pilot), take charge of the craft’s controls to experience the unparalleled sensation of ultra-light aviation first-hand.
Availability: Seven days a week. The venue is closed on Christmas Day. Weekends can get very busy, if you want a weekend date we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance (even earlier for summer weekends). Weather: Flying is a weather dependent activity and it’s essential that you call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: Lasts about 80 minutes, including a 60 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration. Numbers On Day: Both the briefing and flight will be held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch take-off and landing. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 16. Maximum weight is 17 stone. Maximum height is 6’4”. For security reasons, photographic id (ideally a passport) MUST be produced by all passengers on the day. Other Info: This flying time can count towards a Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL). To qualify for a PPL you need 35 hours of dual-control and 10 hours solo flying. If you have ever wanted to be a pilot, this is a great way to get started.
