This is a wonderful opportunity for beginners to enjoy a full day out in the New Forest practising being a cowboy or cowgirl with a Western horse riding lesson. After coffee, bacon rolls and a briefing, you will meet your horse for the day and get an introduction on how to groom and tack him. Skills in hand, it’s time for a Western style riding lesson where you’ll cover all of the basics (Western rather than English style, it’s much easier and feels more secure so you can expect to learn quickly and gain confidence). After a busy morning, fulfil your appetite by tucking into a barbecue lunch before leisurely riding the trail into the forest during your afternoon session. At the end of the day you will untack, rub down and feed the horse, before turning him out to pasture.
