Devised by the revered chef Michel Roux Jr and taught by one of his in-house chefs, this half day knife skills class covers a host of essential techniques. Arrive at Michel Roux Jr’s Cookery School for tea, coffee and pastries while the experienced in-house chef talks about the content of the class. Concentrating on two vital knives – a cook’s knife and a paring knife, learn how to sharpen and practise a range of essential skills. Make and bake herb and cheese scones, using chopped herbs from the class and learn how to chop a mirepoix base to take home. After the class, enjoy a light lunch, or cream tea with Prosecco (served with afternoon class) and take home an apron, a tote bag and a knife skills booklet.
