Meet the amazingly fast and super light Ariel Atom – unlike any sports car ever seen before. These little beauties are made without the unnecessary accessories one would normally expect, such as doors, or even a roof. Don’t be fooled however, with a top speed of up to 150 mph and able to reach 60 mph time in an incredible 2.7 seconds, this so-called pocket rocket certainly delivers. Start with a drivers’ safety briefing, because after all, driving this incredible vehicle on a professional circuit is certainly different to driving a normal car on the road! Take the wheel for four laps of the circuit at Elvington and then finish off the driving experience by receiving a certificate presentation.

Availability: At least one weekend date a month from February to November, plus very occasional Fridays and Mondays. Dates fill very quickly, so we recommend booking several weeks (at least six) in advance. Weather: Driving might be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Contact will be made if the experience is cancelled for any reason. Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for up to an hour, including briefing and driving laps. Please arrive 45 minutes in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Briefings are held in groups of up to 30 people. There are likely to be other vehicles on the track at the same time. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and there are catering facilities on-site. Extra (chargeable) drives are available on the day. Safety dictates that pets cannot be permitted. Dress Code: Dress comfortably (and warmly in winter) with trousers, long sleeves and narrow, flat-soled shoes to negotiate pedals that are close together. A helmet is provided. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum height is 4’10”, maximum is 6’5”. Maximum weight is 19 stone. A full British or international manual driving licence is required to guarantee participation. Other Info: When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
