Stafford Activity Centre is the perfect place to learn some of the different driving techniques required to become a success in a rally scenario. Drive on tarmac for over six miles in either a Subaru Impreza Sti or Ford Focus RS – both armed with stunning power and featuring surprisingly good agility around bends. Then pit your wits on a rally stage, doing handbrake turns in a Clio and see how the different drives compare. Receive a high-speed passenger ride and if you bring along a guest, they get to enjoy a free 4×4 off road passenger ride.

Availability: Runs around four times a month, and can be on a Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday or Thursday. The circuit is closed from early December to mid-January. Weather: Driving might be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue Monday – Friday (if in any doubt). Duration: Expect to be around an hour at the venue. Please be aware that sessions start from 8am and sessions booked between 11am – 3pm incur a £10 charge. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Briefings are held in groups of up to 30 people. There might be other vehicles on the track at the same time as you. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and each one is entitled to a free 4×4 off road passenger ride. Other extra (chargable) drives and passenger rides are available on the day subject to availability. Dress Code: Dress comfortably (and warmly in winter) with trousers, long sleeves and narrow, flat-soled shoes to negotiate pedals that are close together. A helmet is provided. Guidelines: Exit the M6 at j14. At the roundabout take the exit signed A5013 Eccleshall then continue through Creswell onto Great Bridgeford and take a left turn to the B5405 Woodseaves. Ignore the left into Clanford Road signed Seighford but turn left when you see signs for ‘Driving Experience Registration’ into Clanford Road opposite the Ladfordfields Ind Estate. Pass the Gliding Club and the entrance to the Driving Centre is on the right. Restrictions: Maximum weight is 18 stone and maximum height is 6’6”. A full manual driving licence must be produced on the day must be presented on the day to guarantee participation. Other Info: From 7.45am – 5.45pm a free minibus operates every 30 minutes between Stafford train station and the Stafford Activity Centre. Participants who choose this greener way to travel receive a £10 voucher and spectators a £5 voucher to spend on-site. When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
