Description
For anyone looking for a real aquatic adventure, this introduction to freediving in Cornwall is a must. Learn to dive up to 10 metres underwater without the use of breathing apparatus with tuition from AIDA qualified instructors and submerge into a whole new aquatic world you never knew existed. The course starts with a theory lesson before kitting up and hitting the pool to take the plunge. Learn all essential freediving techniques including prep breaths, static apnoea training, finning styles and lots more under expert guidance. Then, test out those newfound skills by diving deep in the sea and gliding elegantly through the water like a human fish! For those who catch the bug, this counts towards an AIDA level one freediving qualification.
Availability: Twice a week (a mixture of weekdays and weekends) throughout the year, excluding the Christmas and New Year period. Weather: Duration: Starts at 9.30am and finishes at 4.30pm. Numbers On Day: Share the course with up to seven other budding freedivers, plus a qualified instructor. Spectators: Dress Code: All specialist freediving equipment is provided. Please bring swimwear and a towel. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 16. All participants must be confident swimmers and are required to sign a medical declaration form.
