Escape to the Grade II listed four star Greenwoods Hotel Spa and Retreat in Essex for a pamper spa day for two – the perfect way to recharge batteries and refresh the body. Indulge in a 20 minute energy point relaxing massage for hands or feet, both of which are designed to completely replenish the skin. Afterwards explore the spa facilities which include a swimming pool, gym, steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi. For lunch, tuck into a meal from the spa menu – a great way to refuel in between all that rejuvenation.

Alternatively, from junction 29 of the M25 take the A127 Basildon, the A176 Billericay then Stock. Just after Stock High Street, Greenwoods Estate is signposted on the left.
