Come to Harlyn Surf School situated on the North Cornwall coast, just five minutes from beautiful Padstow. Harlyn is a great place to learn to surf – it is a north facing crescent shape beach offering great learning conditions and the beach is patrolled by lifeguards from April until the end of September, so you’re in safe hands! This full day experience is a great chance to get a taste of surfing. An instructor teaches all the basics of surfing, from catching a wave to getting to up your feet and remains on hand to offer specialist tips and help you catch as many waves as possible. The surfing equipment can be used after the lesson to put all those newfound skills into practice!

Availability: Seven days a week from May until the end of October. Weather: The weather should not affect this experience, however, if instructors deem that conditions are unsuitable, a voucher is given to redeem at your convenience. Duration: The morning lesson lasts for around two hours. Please arrive at 9.30am to meet the instructors beforehand. There is a break for lunch, and you will spend the afternoon putting your new skills to use (finish around 4.30pm). Numbers On Day: Numbers on the day will vary but you will be split into groups with a maximum of 10 people per instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch from the beach. Dress Code: Bring a swimming costume, towel, waterproof sunblock, sunglasses and clothing suitable for the weather on the day. All surfing equipment is supplied. Guidelines: Full details and directions will be e-mailed to you at least a week in advance of your confirmed booking. Restrictions: Minimum age is 10 but under 16’s must bring a parent/guardian as a spectator. Participants must be able to swim a minimum of 25 metres unaided and will be asked to sign a fitness declaration. Other Info: Lunch is not included but there is a good pub and a burger van nearby.
