Description
Learn to pilot a real hovercraft with this rip-roaring Leicestershire based experience, an aquatic sensation unlike any other. Begin with a safety briefing before hopping into a hovercraft with a professional instructor and go on to learn a host of essential skills, including throttle control and steering with a rudder on a one-to-one basis. Next, on a purpose-built pond, complete a series of exciting hovercrafting manoeuvres and water to land crossings, putting all of those newfound skills into action. These amphibious vehicles don’t have brakes, which is sure to provide a real challenge. With an impressive aerodynamic design and powerful fan propulsion system, an experience in one of these hovercrafts is unique and never to be forgotten.
Availability: Seven days a week throughout the year. Weather: Only high winds and snow prevent the experience from running. If in any doubt, please call the venue before setting off. Duration: Lasts for around an hour and a half, including one full hour of hovercraft driving time. Numbers On Day: Held on a one-to-one basis with a qualified instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. The venue is equipped with toilet facilities and refreshments can be purchased on-site. Dress Code: Dress suitably for the outdoors.
