For a day out taking in the beautiful scenery between Poole and Swanage, join the Swanage Railway heritage line and visit some idyllic destinations. Start the day on an hour long boat sightseeing trip from Poole Quay to Swanage Pier before walking 10 minutes through Swanage town to pick up the steam locomotive. Take in the views while you head out on a picturesque six mile route stopping at Herston (by request), Harmans Cross, Norden and (the most popular stop) Corfe Castle. The journey takes 25 minutes through Purbeck to Corfe Castle and guests can choose to either stay on board and come back down the line again, or get off at Corfe Castle (or any other stop). Catch the return sightseeing boat from Swanage Pier and sail back to Poole.

Availability: Daily from 1 April to 31 October. Weather: This experience may be cancelled in exreme weather conditions (e.g high winds) and may stop or delay the train or boat from departing. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Earliest departure from Poole Quay is daily at 10.30am and the journey takes one hour. Trains depart every 40 minutes from Swanage and the journey is 25 minutes. Return boat sails from Swanage Pier at 2.30pm or 4.45pm.
