For a racing fanatic with a need for speed, this Jaguar versus Porsche supercar driving experience is sure to satisfy. This high-octane session offers the chance to slide behind the wheel of the sleek Jaguar F-Type coupe, and the agile Porsche Cayman, and take them for a spin on Thruxton’s famous 2.4 mile race circuit. Begin with a classroom briefing and two familiarisation laps in the Cayman before getting behind the wheel ready for action. Drive three rip-roaring laps in the Porsche Cayman, followed by a further three in the sublime V6 Jaguar F Type to experience very different but equally mind-blowing capabilities. This supercar driving experience is fast, furious and completely thrilling – just remember to give the keys back at the end!

Availability: At least two Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays per month from February to November. Dates fill very quickly, so please allow at least six weeks advance booking notice. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. ice or heavy rain) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Any unused laps are credited for another visit. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for approximately two and a half hours, including a briefing, safety guidance, driving time and debrief. Please arrive a few minutes in advance of the booked start time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: Briefings are shared, however, all in-car tuition is held on a one-to-one basis with a qualified instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and the venue offers good facilities for spectators and drivers. Children must be closely supervised at all times and dogs are not permitted at any circuit. Dress Code: Dress comfortably (preferably avoiding synthetic clothing) and wear narrow, flat-soled shoes. A helmet and any special clothing are provided. Guidelines: Thruxton circuit is adjacent to and well signposted from the A303 between the M3 and M4, approximately one and a half hours from London. Proceed through the main entrance, up the drive and through the tunnel. The tunnel entrance is slightly off to the left at the top of the rise. Turn immediately left into the paddock car park and at the far end you will see the media centre building where you will need to sign in. Restrictions: Minimum age is 17. Maximum height is 6’3”. Maximum weight is 18 stone. A disclaimer MUST be signed confirming you hold a full British or international driving licence and are fit enough to participate. Other Info: Thruxton is the fastest circuit in the UK, a popular course in the British Touring Car championships and fully licenced FIA venue. All instructors are ARDS qualified. Drive the full 2.4 mile circuit on the day. When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
