Get behind the wheel of a 2.7 litre 245 bhp Porsche Cayman and put theory into practise with this Porsche driving experience in Hampshire. The Thruxton race trackplays host a variety of motorsport events including British Touring Cars and Formula 3 race meetings. Originally used for the RAF and US Airforce during World War II, the circuit has been home to many motor racing events over the last 50 years. Make the most of professional guidance from the instructor, with demo laps around the circuit in a Mazda 3 MPS, before sitting in the incredible Porsche Cayman to drive for four breathtaking laps of this famous 2.4 mile circuit – widely regarded as one of the fastest in the UK.

Availability: At least two dates (Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays) per month from February to November. Dates fill quickly, please allow at least six weeks advance booking notice. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. ice or heavy rain) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Unused laps are credited for another visit. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for an hour and a half, including a briefing and approximately ten minutes driving time. Please arrive a few minutes in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis although briefings may be in groups. Share the familiarisation laps in the Mazda with up to three other people. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. A camera will come in handy. The venue offers good facilities for spectators and drivers. Children must be closely supervised at all times and dogs are not permitted. Dress Code: Dress comfortably (preferably avoiding synthetic clothing) and wear narrow, flat-soled shoes. A helmet and any special clothing are provided. Guidelines: Thruxton circuit is adjacent to and well signposted from the A303 between the M3 and M4, approximately one and a half hours from London. Proceed through the main entrance, up the drive and through the tunnel. The tunnel entrance is slightly off to the left at the top of the rise. Turn immediately left into the paddock car park and at the far end you will see the media centre building where you will need to sign in. Restrictions: Maximum height is 6’3”. Max weight is 18 stone. All participants must sign a disclaimer confirming a full British or international manual driving licence and good health. Other Info: Thruxton is one of the fastest circuits in the UK and a popular course in the British Touring Car championships. Expect to drive the complete circuit. When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
