Description

Life during medieval times may have been grubby, brutal and plague-ridden, but they sure knew how to have fun. This action-packed jousting experience begins with a riding assessment, an overview of the equipment and an introduction to the history of jousting. Next, take part in various activities, including neck reining and learning how to use a flag, lance and shield – practise with a lance on the formidable quintaine, a spinning target. After lunch, this unforgettable day continues by learning a choreographed fight sequence, including broad sword or quarterstaff fighting, before dressing in medieval costume and putting all these newfound skills into action during a tournament. This enjoyable day out ends with a certificate presentation.
