Enjoy the freedom and scenery of Leicestershire, the heart of rural England, for a fantastic full day off road driving experience. These 4×4 beasts tackle all sorts of tricky terrain, ensuring that your driving skills will be truly tested. Get the choice of a Land Rover Defender, a Discovery or a Range Rover Sport to zip around the Leicestershire forests and woodlands, getting off the tarmac and seeing what these iconic 4×4 vehicles are really made of. Receive expert tuition and safety briefing from your instructor for the day, who guides you through the off road course, conquering numerous hazards, climbs and drops along the way. A tasty lunch is also provided.

Availability: Runs seven days a week throughout the year, excluding Christmas. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather (like flooding or high winds) which makes off road driving dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Don’t despair if it’s pouring; wet weather often makes the best 4×4 driving conditions. Duration: Lasts around six hours, including at least 80 minutes of personal driving time. Numbers On Day: Share the session and Land or Range Rover with two other participants, taking turns to drive. An instructor remains in the vehicle at all times. Spectators: Spectators are tricky to accommodate because this experience is so off road, but guests are welcome to come along, wait and use the on-site facilities. Dress Code: Dress for the outdoors, with stout footwear and a waterproof jacket. Guidelines: From M1 junction 19 take A14 towards Kettering. From A14 junction 7 take A43/A6003 towards Corby, then follow brown tourist signs for Rockingham Speedway, and then on for Rockingham Castle, situated off the Corby to Uppingham Road around a quarter mile from Rockingham village. At main castle entrance bear left at the fork, over the cattle grid and park up at Land Rover Experience car parking sign. Restrictions: Minimum age is 17. A full manual driving licence must be produced on the day to guarantee participation. Other Info: All these venues are British Off Road Driving Association members with instructors specially trained by Land Rover. They’ll do their best to get you behind the wheel of your preferred model, subject to availability.
