For anyone who’s ever wondered what life is like at sea, this two night sailing adventure in Scotland is a must try. Spend two days and nights aboard a mighty 1929 Dutch sailing ketch with a seasoned skipper, crew and other keen adventurers. After a few introductions, set sail for the Firth of Clyde and embark on the nautical adventure of a lifetime (the best part is, you can do as much or as little as you like). Simply relax and soak in the scenery and sea air or help the crew to man the decks, hoist the sails and even take a turn at the helm as honorary captain. For a full sailing experience, anchor up and spend two nights in a newly refurbished shared cabin before returning to dry land the next morning. Breakfast and dinner are included.
Availability: Sailing trips are 29 April – 1s May and 19 – 21 May 2017. Weather: As the Firth of Clyde is a sheltered sailing area, this experience goes ahead in any weather condition. Duration: Lasts from Friday morning until Sunday afternoon. Numbers On Day: Share the vessel with up to 10 other keen sailors, plus a skipper and additional crew. Spectators: Dress Code: Please pack a sleeping bag and comfortable clothing for all weathers. A sports bag that can easily be stored away is recommended (as there is no room for on board for suitcases). Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 18. Other Info: Cabins have a large saloon/galley area fitted with all modern conveniences including a TV, DVD Player and a fully fitted kitchen. Central heating has been installed to make even winter sailing a pleasure.
