Description

The Belmond Northern Belle is one of the best ways to travel on this planet, with carriages dating from the 1920s and 30s combined with decor and service inspired by the romance and decadence of the era. Once on board, a liveried steward shows you to your seat before serving up a glass of chilled champagne. As the train glides through the beautifully scenic British countryside, the stewards bring a delectable afternoon tea consisting of finger sandwiches, cakes, scones, tea and coffee to the table. For entertainment on this indulgent journey, a table magician performs, while roaming musicians provide the soundtrack. Absolute bliss.

Availability: Selected Saturdays and Sundays from April – October. Due to popularity, we recommend booking very far in advance to avoid disappointment, all bookings are subject to limited running dates and availability. Weather: The weather should not affect the experience, however please note that the train runs on the public rail network and is subject to any imposed delays (although this is one train that no-one minds being delayed on). Duration: Trips average between two and four hours, starting between 1.30pm and 2.30pm. Receive tickets, confirmation of departure times and a full itinerary shortly before the departure date. Numbers On Day: Up to 42 passengers share the carriage. Most seating takes place within a table of four people, there are also some tables for two. All seating is allocated subject to availability on the day. Spectators: Dress Code: Smart casual wear (no jeans or trainers). Guidelines: Receive further details when a date has been booked. Restrictions: Minimum age 16. If a vegetarian meal is required, please advise at point of booking. Smoking is not permitted on board. Only folding wheelchairs can be stored on board and some mobility is required on the train. Other Info: Valid only for dates in the schedule that match the value of your voucher.
