If you’re not impressed by sports cars and classic rally cars, a JCB racing experience at Diggerland Devon is surely the height of cool. Step into the driver’s seat of this giant digger capable of driving around 20 mph – although when you’re in the cab it most certainly feels quicker! A JCB driving experience is certainly unique, as you battle the specially-designed course with numerous pitfalls along the way. If you prove your speed at the wheel of your JCB, you are sure to qualify for the grand final in a bid to become the ultimate digger champion! After the experience you are free to enjoy the rest of what Diggerland has to offer with numerous rides and drives providing fun for all the family.

Availability: Twice a year, usually one Sunday in May and one Sunday in September. Extra dates will be added to meet demand if necessary. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions like heavy snow, flooding or high winds, which would make it dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Lasts around three hours including a briefing, introduction to the JCBs, tuition, around 20 minutes driving time, debrief and presentation. Numbers On Day: A maximum of 24 people take part. Spectators: Two spectators are welcome to come along free of charge. Bring additional guests for £19.95 each (payable on the day), which includes access to Diggerland Park (under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult). Dress Code: Bring a change of clothes and shoes/boots that you don’t mind getting muddy or dusty. If it’s raining, bring wellies and overalls if you have them (trainers are no good in the wet, you’ll be slipping all over the place). Guidelines: Exit the M5 at junction 27 and head East on the A38 towards Willand. Turn right at the roundabout onto the B3181. Diggerland is three miles down on the left hand side. Restrictions: Minimum age is 17. No license needed, however driving knowledge is preferred. Other Info: Please note that if any participant appears to be unfit due to alcohol, drugs or any other reason, event staff reserve the right to stop them taking part.
