Enjoy the freedom and adventure of aviation with this sensational 30 minute Tiger Moth flight in East Sussex. Following a concise pre-flight briefing, put on a Biggles-style flying jacket before jumping into the cockpit of an affectionately restored vintage De Havilland Tiger Moth. Once in the sky, feel the unique sensation of sitting in an open cockpit whilst taking in spectacular bird’s-eye views. During the flight (subject to weather conditions, and at the pilot’s discretion), the pilot will perform some thrilling aerobatic stunts and there will be a chance to take over the controls and experience vintage aviation first-hand. Back on terra firma, receive a flight certificate to take home.
Availability: Seven days a week between April and October. Weather: Flying is a weather dependent activity and it’s essential that you call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: This flight will last for around 30 minutes from chocks-off to chocks-on. Please arrive a few minutes before the scheduled flight time to be kitted out and briefed. Allow for at least one hour on-site. Numbers On Day: The briefing may be shared, but only you and your qualified pilot will be in the aircraft during your flight. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch take-off and landing. A pair of binoculars or a camera will come in handy. Dress Code: Tiger Moths have open cockpits, so wrap up warm. Wear soft-soled shoes. Bring sunglasses and tie back long hair. Flying kit (jacket, headset and helmet) will be provided. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 16 and maximum weight 17 stone. There is no maximum height, if you fit into a standard car seat you should be comfortable in the cockpit. Unsuitable for pregnant women or anyone unable to climb into the open cockpit. Other Info:
