Ideal for those who’ve always wanted to pit their physical stamina on the awesome power of the waves, this ocean rowing taster day takes place off the coast of Hayling Island, Hampshire, in teams of four. After a welcome, safety briefing and introduction to the boats, the day is spent seeing just how well teams can work together to get out as far as possible and back, facing the power of mother nature. Weather conditions can vary, but with an experienced skipper at the helm, there’s no need to worry – just row. Enjoy breath-taking vistas of the sky, sea and horizon while pushing minds and bodies to the limit, and food will be cooked and provided on-board, to give a real taste of life as a skipper. Perfect for thrill-seekers, not landlubbers!

Availability: Choose from weekday as well as weekend options every month. Weather: In extreme weather conditions, this experience may be cancelled or a new date set. Duration: Six hours. Numbers On Day: Maximum four people per boat, plus skipper. Spectators: Dress Code: Comfortable clothing and non-slip shoes for rowing in, for example running gear to fit under waterproofs.
