Description

Assume the role of a secret agent for the day with a selection of adrenaline-fuelled missions and spy games. Take on the lethal crossbow in the ‘silent’ weapons section and aim for that target. Pick up vital sniper techniques, including the arts of camouflage and marksmanship, before getting to grips with the more intimate hand to hand combat. Learn specialist skills such as blocks and releases, all taught by an expert instructor with years of practical experience. Give tired feet a break and master a Segway to take on the off-road course. To finish the day, become acquainted with the correct procedures to handle a 9mm pistol, and even get the chance to fire one!

Availability: Saturdays and Sundays between April and November, at least three times a year. Weather: This is an all-weather experience and some activities take place outdoors – if it’s raining, expect to get wet! Duration: The experience lasts for approximately six hours. Please arrive a few minutes prior to the event for registration. Numbers On Day: There will be up to 60 people taking part, split into supervised groups of 12 for the activities. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. Refreshments can be purchased from the tuck shop, which sells soft drinks, crisps, hot snacks, tea and coffee. Dress Code: Dress for the weather and wrap up well in winter – activities take place outdoors and indoors. Wear flat shoes – walking boots or trainers are ideal. Eye protection will be provided where necessary. Changing facilities are available. Guidelines: On the outskirts of Buckingham turn right at the roundabout signposted A421 Bletchley, Milton Keynes and Thornborough. Keep on the A421 for another three or four miles and then turn left at the signpost for Thornton. The entrance to Spy Academy is 200 yards on the left. Restrictions: Minimum age is 18, maximum age is 70 and reasonable physical fitness is required.
