Description

The off road multi drive is an incredible chance to get behind the wheel of three extremely different vehicles. With expert guidance and full tuition from instructors on the day, spend an hour on each vehicle – a proper opportunity to get to grips with an off road buggy, a Segway and a 4×4. Reach speeds of up to 30 mph in the buggy while racing around the circuit, then master the art of balancing on a Segway with a few obstacles along the way. When behind the wheel of the 4×4, work with a navigator who gives instructions as the driver is completely blindfolded – a real exercise in communication and a total thrill!

Availability: Runs a weekend date approximately once a month between April and November. Weather: This is an all-weather experience and some activities take place outdoors – if it’s raining, things will get wet! Duration: Lasts for three hours – enjoy three one hour sessions. Numbers On Day: Up to 36 participate on the day, split into groups of 12. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. Refreshments can be purchased from the tuck shop which sells soft drinks, crisps, snacks, tea and coffee. Dress Code: Dress for the weather and wrap up well in winter – activities take place outdoors and indoors. Wear flat shoes – walking boots or trainers are ideal. Changing facilities are available. Guidelines: On the outskirts of Buckingham turn right at the roundabout signposted A421 Bletchley, Milton Keynes and Thornborough. Keep on the A421 for another three or four miles and then turn left at the signpost for Thornton. The entrance to Spy Academy is 200 yards on the left. Restrictions: Minimum age is 17, Maximum age is 70. Not suitable for people with disabilities, although hearing-impaired participants are welcome.
