Description
When the sea is still and weather is mild, there’s no better alternative to surfing than stand up paddleboarding. Learn the basics of this popular watersport from Bournemouth beach and experience a thrill that’s likely to have you hooked from the very beginning. Start on the beach with a group briefing and once kitted out in a wetsuit, wade into the water and start paddleboarding. Under the wing of an ISA qualified paddleboarding instructor, learn how to balance, paddle and steer yourself through open water – before long, you’re sure to be cutting across the sea like a professional! This two hour paddleboarding lesson offers a brilliant introduction to the sport and is the ideal experience for any aquatic adventurer.
Availability: Seven days a week throughout the year (closed on Mondays during winter). Weather: Duration: Lessons last around 90 minutes, with morning and afternoon lessons are available. Please note: there is also an option on the day of extending the lesson for hour for £5 so you can test out your new skills. Numbers On Day: Share the experience with up to 22 others. Spectators: This experience is only cancelled in the event of extreme weather conditions which cause the beach lifeguard service to raise a red flag. Please call ahead if in any doubt. Dress Code: All specialist equipment is provided, but please bring swimwear and a towel each. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 16. Participants must be able to swim a minimum of 50 metres unaided, possess a reasonable level of fitness and declare any medical conditions prior to booking. Other Info: This is the only Surfing GB (SGB) Centre of Excellence based on the south coast and all tutors are ISA Accredited Surf Instructors.
