Description
Capable of reaching speeds of up to 40 knots, this dominant beauty is sure to impress even the most skilled sea farer. After a full safety briefing, if the skipper is happy and you are feeling confident, take control of the helm and head for the gorgeous scenery of the Isle of Wight. On hand to demonstrate the rules of the waterways is a friendly skipper who will finish by taking this amazing boat to the limit and display its full power and capability. After returning to the marina, a member of staff will take a picture which will be posted out as a special memento of the experience.
Availability: Weekend dates from April to October. Weather: If the experience is cancelled due to bad weather, the venue will be in contact no later than twenty four hours before, to arrange another date. Duration: Lasts around two and a half hours but allow up to three hours at the venue. Receive boat handling tuition and then enjoy around 20 minutes hands-on driving. Numbers On Day: Share the luxury cruiser with a maximum of six other participants and two crew members. Spectators: Although this experience is not suitable for spectators, family and friends are welcome to wave you off from the shore which has a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops. Dress Code: The boat is out on open water so please dress appropriately, bringing waterproof clothes and warm layers for inclement weather; sunscreen and sunglasses for the summer months. Wear flat, non-slip shoes (e.g. trainers or deck shoes). Guidelines: Exit the M3 at junction 14 onto the A33 and keep following the signs to the Docks and Old Waterfront. Please follow the signs as Ocean Village Marina is signposted all the way once you come into Southampton. Your skipper will meet outside the Banana Wharf pub. Restrictions: Minimum age is 10 and under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating adult. Maximum weight 16 stone. Unsuited to anyone who has ever suffered a serious back or heart complaint, or for pregnant women. Other Info: The boat is fully MCA coded and has a qualified skipper at the helm, with a first crew member to assist.
