Kids always want to do what their big brothers and sisters are doing, and love learning in the most practical of ways. That’s why Firefly car designer Chris Johnson created a range of two-seater electric cars with real suspension, disk brakes, pinion steering and lights – to give five to ten year-olds the chance to learn to drive safely and have fun at the same time. This 15 minute experience gives youngsters the chance to feel grown-up while learning all the principles of real driving, accompanied by a parent or friend. Each car has a maximum speed of 10 mph and has special sensors to detect obstacles, so it’s as safe as can be, and a briefing is also included. If they can’t wait to take the wheel – this is ideal!

Availability: At least one weekend date every other month per venue. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions which would make driving dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Expect to be on-site for half an hour. A five minute safety briefing and introduction will preceed 15 minutes of driving. Please arrive 15 minutes before the lesson. Numbers On Day: All instruction is 1:1. Spectators: Each participant must be accompanied by an adult and there is a viewing area for adults to watch the driving from. Dress Code: Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. Guidelines: Restrictions: Drivers must be aged between 5 – 10. Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
