Exclusive to Red Letter Days and featured in Top Gear magazine, experience an electrifying Piaggio Ape Race. An Italian design icon since 1949, these three wheel pocket rockets have been upgraded to racing spec and come with stabilisers! Following a safety briefing on how to drive the Ape, get arranged into teams of two and have 20 minutes of practise laps to determine qualifying position. Then, like the original Le Mans start, sprint across the track, get in the Ape, start the engine and go. During a 40 minute race, work out a team strategy on an exhilarating 1 kilometre circuit where Lewis Hamilton cut his teeth, with driver change pit stops. End with a trophy presentation for the top three teams and every team takes home their time sheet!
