Motor racing isn’t always about fast cars, money and glamour. For the pure thrill of burning rubber and tyre-to-tyre racing, book a go karting experience at this brilliant Birmingham venue which boasts the longest track in the West Midlands. Spanning over 1000 metres, the track provides a high-octane go karting experience that’s guaranteed to leave anyone grinning from ear to ear. The karts themselves feature a 200cc engine, reaching speeds of up to 40 mph. Kick off with a safety briefing and then each person sets off in a 200cc kart, attempting to make it round the track 50 times before their opponents, and be crowned champion!
Availability: At least one Sunday a month. We recommend booking several (at least eight) weeks in advance for this very popular experience. Weather: This is an indoor track which isn’t affected by the weather. Duration: Lasts an hour and 45 minutes, including 30 – 40 minutes driving time. Please arrive a few minutes early to register and ensure a prompt start (missing any of the initial briefing means not being permitted to take part). Numbers On Day: The number of competitors can vary from 20 – 40. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. There are vending facilities on-site offering hot and cold drinks. Dress Code: Wear flat shoes or trainers. A helmet is provided. Race suits and gloves are also issued. Guidelines: Restrictions: Min age is 14, under 16’s must be accompanied by guardian over 18. Max weight is 18 stone. Min inside leg measurement 29” (to base of shoe) ensures you can reach pedals. Pregnancy, epilepsy, fainting, diabetes, back/neck injuries prohibit participation. Other Info: Do not drink any alcohol for at least five hours prior to the experience or you won’t be permitted to drive. Customers must wear a balaclava under their helmet whilst racing. Disposable balaclavas can be purchased for 50p or a reusable one for £3.50.
