Description
Karting is a great day out for motor racing enthusiasts of all ages and offers great family fun. Go karting is safe and, with thorough safety briefings for all drivers prior to the races, ensures racers are expertly prepared. Be part of the action at this Cardiff track, with its incredible combination of challenging hairpins, sweeping wide bends and a couple of slippery corners to ensure that skills are put severely to the test. The session sees each person setting off in a 200cc kart, attempting to make it round the track 50 times before anyone else, in order to be crowned champion.
Availability: At least one Sunday a month. We recommend booking several (at least eight) weeks in advance for this very popular experience. Weather: This is an indoor track which isn’t affected by the weather. Duration: Lasts an hour and 45 minutes, including 30 – 40 minutes driving time. Please arrive a few minutes early to register and ensure a prompt start (missing any of the initial briefing means not being permitted to take part). Numbers On Day: The number of competitors can vary from 14 to 36. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. There are vending facilities on-site offering hot and cold drinks. Dress Code: Wear flat shoes or trainers. A race suit, gloves and helmet are provided. Guidelines: Restrictions: Min age is 14, under 16’s must be accompanied by guardian over 18. Max weight is 18 stone. Min inside leg measurement 29” (to base of shoe) ensures you can reach pedals. Pregnancy, epilepsy, fainting, diabetes, back/neck injuries prohibit participation. Other Info: Do not drink any alcohol for at least five hours prior to the experience or you won’t be permitted to drive. Customers must wear a balaclava under their helmet whilst racing. Disposable balaclavas can be purchased for 50p or a reusable one for £3.50.
