Description
Take a sightseeing flight over the scenic city of Carlisle. Taking off from (and returning to) Carlisle airport, you will be taken up to the skies in a Cessna 172 light aircraft and view the historical city mapped out below. Carlisle is rich with history, with an impressive 11th century castle – a true sight to behold; Carlisle’s roots are as a 1st Century Roman outpost. The design of the Cessna 172 means that all passengers can gaze at the pretty land below; what a unique experience.
Availability: Seven days a week. The venue is closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Weekends can get very busy so we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance (even earlier for summer weekends). Weather: Flying is a weather dependent activity and it’s essential that you call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: Lasts for about 45 minutes, including a 20 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration. Numbers On Day: You will share your flight with a maximum of two other passengers as well as the pilot. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch take-off and landing. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 16. Maximum weight is 17 stone. Maximum height is 6’4”. For security reasons, photographic id (ideally a passport) must be produced on the day in order to fly. Other Info:
