Hidden away in the historic St. Katharine Docks next to the River Thames, lies The Medieval Banquet, the most action-packed dining experience in town! Take a pew in atmospheric surroundings and step back in time with a four-course feast fit for a king or queen, accompanied by apple juice, wine and ale. Feast on fresh vegetable soup, a hearty selection of smoked and cured meats with garden salad, Medieval-style chicken with roast potatoes with honey glazed vegetables and finish with a seasonal fruit tart. While you dine, join Henry VIII and his court of knights for plenty of old English entertainment with jugglers, magicians, contortionists, minstrels and high-flying medieval tumblers taking centre stage – epic!
Availability: Wednesdays to Sundays throughout the year. Weather: Duration: Lasts around three and a half hours. Wednesday – Saturday, doors open at 7.15pm and on Sundays, the doors open at 5.15pm. The entertainment continues for three hours and a disco follows this for another hour. Numbers On Day: Share the medieval merriment with up to 450 other diners. Spectators: Dress Code: There is no dress code, but for those wishing to really embrace the medieval theme, traditional costume can be hired from the venue on arrival for £10. Guidelines: Tower Hill is the nearest London Underground station on the District and Circle lines (five minutes walk). Restrictions: There is no minimum age; however, children under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
