Forget supercars, karting can be seriously fun, so for the sheer thrill of burning rubber and exciting tyre-to-tyre racing, try a go karting experience at this brilliant Warrington venue, home to the largest purpose-built indoor karting track in the UK. The track spans more than 1000 metres, is on three levels and built for speed with an average track width of nine metres and 12 metres wide bends. After a safety briefing and putting on a race suit, jump into a kart with a 200cc engine and the capacity to reach 40 mph. Start the engine and begin racing. Each person then sets off in a 200cc kart, attempting to make it round the track 50 times before anyone else, for ultimate glory.
Availability: At least one Sunday a month. We recommend booking several (at least eight) weeks in advance for this very popular experience. Weather: This is an indoor track which isn’t affected by the weather. Duration: Lasts an hour and 45 minutes, including 30 – 40 minutes driving time. Please arrive a few minutes early to register and ensure a prompt start (missing any of the initial briefing means not being permitted to take part). Numbers On Day: The number of competitors can vary from 20 – 40. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. There are vending facilities on-site offering hot and cold drinks. Dress Code: Wear flat shoes or trainers. A helmet is provided. Race suits and gloves are also issued. Guidelines: Restrictions: Min age is 14, under 16’s must be accompanied by guardian over 18. Max weight is 18 stone. Min inside leg measurement 29” (to base of shoe) ensures you can reach pedals. Pregnancy, epilepsy, fainting, diabetes, back/neck injuries prohibit participation. Other Info: Do not drink any alcohol for at least five hours prior to the experience or you won’t be permitted to drive. Customers must wear a balaclava under their helmet whilst racing. Disposable balaclavas can be purchased for 50p or a reusable one for £3.50.
