Ever wondered how it feels to be an airline pilot? With a cutting-edge 180 degree wraparound screen, ultra-realistic weather conditions and genuine Boeing 737 cockpit controls, this flight simulator experience in Lancashire is as close as can be to flying a real life jumbo jet. Start with a briefing and some refreshments before choosing a preferred take-off and landing airport (from a huge range of international options) as well as a time of day and weather conditions. After the briefing, it’s time to take to the captain’s chair with a professional instructor alongside and be transported as you guide the Boeing 737 safely from A to B, using genuine commercial flying skills while also enjoying realistic views.

Availability: Seven days a week throughout the year (opening hours are 10am – 6pm), excluding bank holidays. Weather: Duration: Lasts around 45 minutes, including a briefing and 30 minutes in the flight simulator. Numbers On Day: The experience held on a one-to-one basis with a qualified instructor. Spectators: One spectator is welcome to come along and watch the action inside the flight simulator with you. Dress Code: Please wear comfortable flat-soled shoes (no heels or sandals). Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 12 (children under the age of 16 must be accompanied in the simulator by a non-participating adult). Other Info: Each of the centre’s flight simulator instructors are trained commercial airline pilots.
