Buying presents for someone with a passion for aviation? Let them take this amazing opportunity to fly a virtual Boeing 737 in a top of the range aircraft simulator. After a comprehensive pre-flight briefing, they’ll climb aboard the flight deck with its state-of-the-art surround view before taking the controls of the aircraft with friendly hands-on guidance from an experienced pilot. They’ll practise take-offs and get familiarised with the flying controls, before having a go at some landings. They can even bring a couple of friends along to their flying experience to sit in the aircraft’s real passenger cabin that is guaranteed to impress them.

Availability: Seven days a week (excluding Christmas and New Year), subject to availability. Weather: Duration: After a 30 minute briefing, spend one hour in the simulator, with 30 minutes at the controls and 30 minutes as a passenger. Please arrive a few minutes early to register. Numbers On Day: Share the simulator with one other participant and co-pilot. Guests are seated in the (separate) cabin area. Spectators: Invite up to two guests to sit in the simulator cabin and act as passengers. Dress Code: No special clothing is required, just dress comfortably as you would for driving. Guidelines: From A272 eastbound, continue a couple of miles past Billinghurst.Turn left for Thornhill (just before sign for Coolham village. If you pass village hall have gone too far) and drive down access road, through gate and follow signs to park. Venue is on car park approach on right. From west go via M23/A23 onto A272 westbound as far as Coolham crossroads. Half a mile on turn right (Patman’s farm on left, Thornhill on right) to the access road. Restrictions: Minimum age 10 and no other restrictions. Other Info: Mobile phones must be turned off before entering the facility.
