Description
Enjoy breathtaking views from a nimble, dual-controlled two-seater Cessna training plane. Kick off with a discussion on important flying techniques in addition to a safety briefing, before ascending to the skies with a fully qualified instructor for a 30 minute aerial adventure. During the flight (at the discretion of the pilot), take charge of the aircrafts controls to become an honorary pilot, with the instructor on hand to offer encouragement throughout.
Availability: Wednesday to Sunday all year round. The venue is closed on Christmas Day. Weekends can get very busy, if you want a weekend date we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance. Weather: Flying is weather dependent. It is essential that call you the venue after 8.30am on the morning of your experience for a weather check before setting out. If your flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for another date or time. Duration: Lasts around 40 minutes, including a 30 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration. Numbers On Day: The briefing might be shared. The flight is held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch the take off and landing. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Take the A158 Lincoln to Skegness road travelling east. Travel though the village of Langworth and take the second left signed B1139 Market Rasen and Wickenby Airfield. Turn left at the T-junction signed Wickenby after around two miles. Follow the road for 300 metres then turn right into the airfield. Fly365 is in the white brick building in the centre of the airfield. Restrictions: Maximum weight is 18 stone. Minimum age is 14. Under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who’ll be required to sign a disclaimer. Women in either the first or the last three months of pregancy can’t fly. Other Info: Flying time can count towards a Private Pilot’s Licence. To qualify for a PPL 35 hours of dual control and 10 hours solo flying is required.
