A must for any high flyer, this 30 minute light aircraft flight in Liverpool is the very best way to experience the thrills and spills of aviation. Begin with a safety briefing before jumping into the cockpit of a Piper Tomahawk with a seasoned flying instructor in preparation for take-off. Then the fun really begins – head to the sky and once at altitude, take in unique panoramic views of the city and its surrounding countryside while your trusty pilot effortlessly glides the Piper through the clouds. During the flight, the instructor hands over the controls so you can get a taste of what it’s like to fly a real life light aircraft. For those wishing to carry on flying, this experience actually counts towards a Private Pilot’s Licence!

Availability: Seven days a week except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Weekends can get very busy; if a weekend date is required we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance (even earlier for summer weekends). Weather: Flying is a weather dependent activity and it’s essential to call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it can be re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: Lasts around 40 minutes, including a 30 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration. Numbers On Day: The briefing may be shared. The flight is held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch the take off and landing. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age 16. Max weight 15 stone. Max height 6’6”. For security reasons, photographic ID (ideally a passport) MUST be produced by all passengers on the day or they won’t be permitted to fly. Other Info: Flying time can count towards a Private Pilot’s Licence. To qualify for a PPL 35 hours of dual control and 10 hours solo flying is required.
