Head up into the clouds in a PA28 Piper Warrior and enjoy an exciting 30 minute light aircraft flight from Salisbury, the birthplace of military flying. Soak in dramatic aerial views of the rolling Wiltshire countryside and, depending on the choice of route, take a unique look at local landmarks such as Stonehenge, The Fovant Badges, Salisbury, Longleat Safari Park, The New Forest or the South Coast. For an extra thrill, if confident enough, take over the controls to experience what it takes to fly one of these light aircrafts, soaring through the clouds under the wing of a professional pilot. Will you catch the flying bug?

Availability: Seven days a week throughout the year, excluding the Christmas and New Year period. Weather: Flying is a weather dependent activity and it’s essential to call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it can be re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: Lasts around one hour, including a briefing and a 30 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration. Numbers On Day: The briefing may be shared. The flight itself is held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch the take-off and landing. There is a cafe on site and the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection Museum is only feet away. RLD customers qualify for free admission to the museum. Dress Code: Please wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 16. Maximum height is 6′ 6” and minimum height is 4′ 9”. Maximum weight is 18 stone. Other Info: Flying time can count towards a Private Pilot’s Licence. To qualify for a PPL 35 hours of dual control and 10 hours solo flying is required.
