Experience the unparalleled thrill of light aircraft aviation with this 30 minute flight aboard a Cessna 152. Start with a discussion on safety and some basic instruction before getting into the cockpit of the Cessna with a seasoned flying instructor. Once ready, it’s time to fly – head to the clouds and when at altitude, soak in sensational panoramic views of the local landscape while the instructor puts the plane through its paces. During the flight, take over the controls to fly the plane and really get a taste of what it’s like to pilot one of these nimble aircrafts! For those who catch the flying bug, this experience even counts towards a Private Pilot’s Licence!

Availability: Seven days a week except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Weekends can get very busy; if a weekend date is required we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance (even earlier for summer weekends). Weather: Flying is a weather dependent activity and it’s essential to call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it can be re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: Lasts around 40 minutes, including a 30 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration. Numbers On Day: The briefing might be shared. The flight is held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch the take off and landing. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age 16. Max weight 15 stone. Max height 6’6”. For security reasons, photographic ID (ideally a passport) MUST be produced by all passengers on the day or they won’t be permitted to fly. Other Info: Flying time can count towards a Private Pilot’s Licence. To qualify for a PPL 35 hours of dual control and 10 hours solo flying is required.
