Description
Get a real taste for aviation with a sensational 30 minute flight aircraft flight based in Staffordshire. On arrival, meet a qualified instructor for a a discussion on flight safety before being introduced to the trusty aircraft, the Piper Comanche or Cessna 152. Climb into the craft with the instructor and once ready take off to the skies. Soak in incredible aerial views of the Staffordshire countryside whilst the pilot shows exactly what the nimble little craft can do. During the flight, take over the reins to become honourary pilot under the expert tuition of your instructor – the very best way to experience the thrills of aviation. For those who catch the bug, this flight time counts towards a Private Pilot’s Licence.
Availability: Seven days a week, excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Weekends can get very busy; if a weekend date is required we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance (even earlier for summer weekends). Weather: Flying is a weather dependent activity and it’s essential to call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it can be re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: Lasts around 40 minutes, including a 30 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration. Numbers On Day: The briefing might be shared. The flight is held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch the take off and landing. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age 16. Max weight 15 stone. Max height 6’6”. For security reasons, photographic ID (ideally a passport) MUST be produced by all passengers on the day or they won’t be permitted to fly. Other Info: Flying time can count towards a Private Pilot’s Licence. To qualify for a PPL 35 hours of dual control and 10 hours solo flying is required.
