Description
Get behind the controls of a Cessna 152 in this authentic flying experience. Start on the ground with a briefing on safety and flying techniques, before hopping aboard with your expert instructor. Then it’s ‘chocks away’ for a 30 minute flight over the green fields of Surrey in the dual-controlled, two-seater plane. At the pilot’s discretion, take the controls and experience the unrivalled freedom of flying a light aircraft. Whether you are working towards a Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL), or you simply want to fly a plane, this experience will spread your wings. The feeling of liberty and control and the absolute joy of flying a plane is hard to describe, but you will know when you have caught the flying bug.
Availability: Seven days a week throughout the year (except Mondays and public holidays). Please allow a minimum of six weeks advance booking notice. Weather: Flying is weather dependent and it’s essential that you call the venue for a weather check. For morning bookings call the day before, for afternoon/evening bookings call before setting out. Cancelled flights can be rebooked direct. Duration: Your experience will last for about 40 minutes, including your 30 minute flight. Please allow for around an hour at the venue. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration. Numbers On Day: Your briefing might be shared. Your flight will be held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch you take off and land. There is a restaurant on-site which overlooks the airfield. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Blackbushe Airport is on the A30 between Camberley and Yateley. From the M3 at junction 4a follow the signs to Yateley. Turn left onto the A30 towards Basingstoke. The airport is on your right. Once in the airport bear left, the Blackbushe Aviation building is clearly visible, next door to Biggles Bistro. There is plenty of on-site parking. Restrictions: Maximum height is 6′. Maximum weight is 14 stone. Other Info: Your flying time can count towards a Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL). To qualify for a PPL you need 35 hours of dual control and 10 hours solo flying. If you have ever wanted to be a pilot, this is a great way to get started.
