Description
Board a two seater training plane at this airfield in Swansea, in either a Piper or Cessna make of craft, for an intimate half hour light aircraft flight. Experience the thrill of flying and witness superb views with a qualified instructor alongside to illustrate flying at ease. Learn about the safety before taking to the air, confident fliers can even take over the controls!
Availability: Seven days a week. The venue is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Weekends can get very busy, so we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance (even earlier for summer weekends). Weather: Flying is a weather dependent activity and it’s essential that you call the venue for a weather check before setting out. Flights cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: Lasts for up to one hour, including your 30 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration. Numbers On Day: The briefing might be shared. The flight is held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch the take off and landing. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 17. Maximum weight is 17 stone. Maximum height is 6’6”. For security reasons, photographic id (ideally a passport) MUST be produced by all passengers on the day or they wont be permitted to fly. Other Info: Flying time can count towards a Private Pilot’s Licence. To qualify for a PPL 35 hours of dual control and 10 hours solo flying is required.
