For anyone looking to get a taste of light aircraft aviation, this 30 minute motor gliding flight in Stratford-Upon-Avon is perfect. The nimble motor glider does not require an aerotow or winch launch and, although engine-powered, offers the close proximity thrills usually only experienced from the cockpit of a glider. After a pre-flight briefing, hop in and prepare for take-off. Once airborne, enjoy panoramic views of the local area while the CAA qualified instructor shows off the motor glider’s sustained soaring capabilities. During the flight, take charge of the controls to experience the unique feeling of piloting an aircraft first-hand – the instructor even takes a photo of you in action as a memento!

Availability: Seven days a week throughout the year, excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Weather: Flying is a weather dependent activity and it’s essential to call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it can re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: Expect to be at the venue for up to one hour, including a briefing and 30 minutes of flying time. Numbers On Day: The flight is held on a one-to-one basis with a qualified instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch the take off and landing. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 16.
