Description

Aviation was once about freedom and adventure, and this flying experience truly recreates nostalgic sensation. After a short pre-flight briefing, don a Biggles-style flying jacket before climbing into the cockpit of a De Havilland Tiger Moth or 1930s Stampe SV4, both of which have been lovingly restored. Feel the rush of the wind from the open cockpit and enjoy spectacular views as the pilot puts the plane through a series of exciting manoeuvres. Subject to weather conditions and at the pilot’s discretion, get the opportunity to take over the controls and discover the sensation that makes these planes so incredible. Back on terra firma, some venues even include a flight certificate to take home as a memento.

Availability: Selected weekend and weekday dates throughout the main flying season from May to September (March to October at some locations) for Tiger Moth at some venues and all year round at others and for Stampe flights.
