Experience the unique sensation of vintage aviation with this 30 minute Tiger Moth flight in Redhill, Surrey. Upon arrival, receive a short pre-flight briefing, before climbing into the cockpit of a lovingly restored De Havilland Tiger Moth – the archetypal English biplane. Once in the air, take in breathtaking bird’s-eye views whilst the pilot (subject to weather conditions and at the pilot’s discretion) takes the aircraft through a series of impressive aerial manoeuvres. During the flight, take the reins and discover the sensation that has made generations of flyers fall in love with these amazing vintage planes. Back on solid ground, receive a flight certificate to take home as a special memento.

Availability: Selected dates throughout the main flying season from April to October. We recommend booking several weeks in advance. Weather: Flying is weather dependent and it is crucial that you call the weather line (after 8.30am please) on the day of your flight. The Tiger Moth is an vintage open-cockpit plane and certain weather conditions may result in your flight being rescheduled. Duration: This flight will last for around 30 minutes from chocks-off to chocks-on. Please arrive a few minutes before the scheduled flight time to be kitted out and briefed. Allow for at least one hour on-site. Numbers On Day: The briefing may be shared, but only you and a qualified pilot will be in the aircraft during the flight. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. A camera and a pair of binoculars will come in handy. Pets are not permitted at the airfield. Dress Code: Wrap up warm for your open-cockpit flight. Wear soft-soled shoes. Bring sunglasses and tie back long hair. Flying kit (jacket, headset and helmet) will be provided. Guidelines: From Redhill, take the A23 southbound, turn left at East Surrey Hospital and follow the aerodrome signs. From the A25, follow signs to South Nutfield, then the aerodrome signs. From London, exit the M8 at junction 8 and follow the signs. Once in the aerodrome, E.V.Ation’s offices are signposted. Restrictions: Minimum age is 12. Maximum weight 18 stone. Minimum height 4’11”. If you fit into a standard car seat you should be comfortable in the cockpit. Unsuitable for pregnant women or anyone unable to climb into the open cockpit.
