Description
See the impressive Hadrian’s Wall laid out below while being chauffeured with two friends through the skies in a Cessna 172. The northern boundary of the Roman Empire is the North’s most popular tourist attraction, and it will become clear why when the pilot soars along architecture that has been a part of the scenery for 2000 years. See the compelling Roman forts: Vindolanda, Housesteads and Birdoswald that make up this treasured World Heritage site.
Availability: Seven days a week. The venue is closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Weekends can get very busy, if you want a weekend date we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance (even earlier for summer weekends). Weather: Flying is a weather dependent activity and it’s essential that you call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: Lasts for about 60 minutes in total, including a 40 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration. Numbers On Day: Share the flight with just your party and the pilot. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch take-off and landing. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age four – under 16’s must be accompanied on the flight by a fare paying adult. Maximum weight is 17 stone. Maximum height is 6’4”.
