Fly above Tyne and Wear during this 12 mile pleasure flight in a powerful, fast-moving five-seater Jet Ranger helicopter. It’s the way the rich and famous like to travel and it’s the best way to see the incredible sights of the countryside below. During the flight, climb to around 1000 feet and take in the breath taking countryside sights, with the pilot pointing out the local landmarks along the way. Availability: Flights take place around one weekend date per month from April – October. Weather: This is a weather dependent activity, mainly due to wind speeds and cloud base above the ground. It is crucial to call the venue before setting out to check conditions. If the flight is cancelled, it can be re-booked directly with the venue. Duration: Expect to be at the venue for about one hour, including a a safety briefing and a flight time of between seven and 10 minutes. Please arrive a few minutes in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: With this voucher for one, share the flight with up to three other passengers and a seasoned pilot. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch the take off and landing. A pair of binoculars or a camera comes in handy. Dress Code: Please bear in mind that inside the helicopter can get quite warm.
